Our 3 Point Approach
In New Orleans, water is a part of daily life, whether you’re seeking it out or not. Unfortunately, many people from childhood all the way into retirement lack the confidence and skills to navigate and enjoy the water. For many, water can be a source of fear, but it doesn’t have to!
At Kick Pull Swim, we aim to change that. We provide customized 1:1 swimming lessons, including: Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) lessons that teach water survival skills for infants, Learn to Swim lessons for anyone looking to gain fundamental swimming skills, and Stroke Development for experienced and competitive swimmers looking to hone their craft. For our child learners, we also provide parents with the knowledge and skills needed to continue their child’s swimming development outside of lessons.
Point 1: Kick
Infant Swimming Resource (ISR)
The Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) program prepares infants & children for unintentional water exposure over the course of 6 to 10 weeks. ISR, which requires instructors to complete an intensive certification program, is built upon 45 years of research and achieves unparalleled results in drowning prevention. In Kick Pull Swim’s 1:1 ISR classes, parents accompany their child for 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week, and receive education on best practices to reinforce their child’s survival swimming skills. ISR lessons are aimed at kids ages 6 months – 7 years who may be exposed to pools or open bodies of water and would benefit from basic, necessary swimming survival skills to avoid accidental drowning in emergency situations. Through ISR, children learn to stay calm, float, and survive if they should ever end up in a life-threatening water experience. ISR helps increase parents’ confidence in their children’s capabilities, and allows families to live near water without fear.
